D4RT Turntable Module (2003-2007)

DR-4 Turntable 256

Description:  The D4RT was developed alongside the DL-4 design, based on customer feedback from the DL-3 series and requests for a "convertible" machine that could do round headers as well as rectangular packages. It is easily mounted on the DL-4 carriage once the carriage is centered and the linear table block removed. Connecting the pigtail to the socket shown at upper right on the photo disables the linear table drive, and connects control panel inputs to the turntable drive.

Identify By: width of cut indicator dial is on operator side of turntable. (the replacement D5RT has a larger, longer travel indicator which mounts on the cutter side, with easy zeroing adjustment to the front).

Variants: Different holddown rods and platter spacers (the gold component shown below) were supplied to accommodate specific customer parts. These can be replaced to suit different requirements.

Problem Areas: Worm gear and turntable table bearing wear, original motors may lug at slow speeds.

Status: Replaced by current production D5RT.

Support: Fully supported from trouble shooting and retraining through complete overhaui to as-manufactured standards.

Overhaul Cost (Typical): $1400-1800.
